New & Improved Quick-Connector on our Smoke Alarms
The Garland onGard 240V Smoke Alarms now feature an improved Quick-Connector to simplify and accelerate installation.
The OG20 Photoelectric alarm and OG20LL Photoelectric alarm with long life battery, now contain improved connection terminals for a more straightforward installation process. The new connection terminals not only make the installation quicker and easier, but also allow for a no-fuss replacement once required. They replace the pre-wired loom on the previous version, which allows for the smoke alarms connection directly onto a cable without the need for a junction box or protective enclosure.
The new Quick-Connect is sized to accept 2 x 1.5mm² conductors allowing for cabling to loop from one smoke alarm to another.
Included with the new smoke alarms Quick-connector is a moulded plastic sleeve. Once the sleeve is installed over the connector, it provides for additional protection and insulation from mains voltages.
